After its sudden cancellation last year as one of the first event victims of the COVID-19 pandemic, Camp Verde’s 20th Pecan & Wine Festival is shaping up to be one of the best yet! This annual Downtown event will be held April 17 & 18 featuring local pecans and showcasing Verde Valley wines, including some from right here in Camp Verde. Yavapai Community College is partnering again as a Platinum sponsor to provide this opportunity for the public and to support the local wine industry. Partnering with the Verde Valley Wine Consortium helps bring a wide variety of Verde Valley wines to this open-air shaded pavilion event as well as complementary products such as olive oil, cheese, local baked bread and wine related gifts & furniture. In addition, the expertise of the Southwest Wine Center at Yavapai College will be on display.

With a varied group of vendors showcasing their products outside in the warm spring weather around the wineries as well as live music on the stage this event will have something for everyone. Saturday hours are 11 am to 7 pm and Sunday 11 am to 4 pm with free admission to all activities. You can purchase wine tasting tickets or a bottle of local wine for those age 21 years or older. Food trucks, local artisans and community groups will be offering a wide array of hand-crafted products like jewelry, tote bags, metal & wood yard art, candles, scents, art & home décor as well as gifts.

Homemade Pecan pies made by the Quester’s group to benefit the Hance House restorations always sell out on Saturday. Buy your local pecans on Saturday to enter your pie in the Pecan Pie contest on Sunday. Listen to live music both days on the main stage.

As the COVID-19 pandemic improves and vaccinations are on the rise our now standard COVID precautions will be in place. This includes a mostly outdoor event, increased spacing for vendors and attendees as well as additional cleaning and sanitizing. As always, people are requested to stay home if having any illness symptoms and to wear a mask when unable to socially distance.

Vendor space is still available as well as free space for community groups to fundraise or spread awareness. Come help us by volunteering to make this a true community event and also just having fun. Interested volunteers should contact Camp Verde Parks & Recreation at 395 S. Main St., parks@campverde.az.gov , (928)554-0820 Option 3
