Dead Horse Ranch State Park will host Verde River Day on Saturday, September 28, 2019. Starting at 8am, the fish will start biting. Poles, bait and supplies will be available to everyone for no charge and no fishing license is necessary until noon.
The live entertainment will be wonderful too. Verde Valley Voices, Cottonwood Community Band, the Jerome Ukulele Orchestra will perform throughout the day.
Pancakes, hamburgers, hotdogs and snacks will be available for purchase.
Verde River Day was started in 1989 to bring awareness to the Verde River’s riparian habitat. This year, Friends of the Verde River is cohosting the event.
