Fort Verde Days is Camp Verde’s biggest celebration of the year and is held every year at the Fort Verde State Historic Park. Fort Verde was home to General Crook’s Army soldiers and scouts in the 1870s through the 1880s. Three of the original buildings are open to the public with museums and history programs. The fun includes a parade, a carnival, a quilt and craft show, pine wood derby exhibition, a car show and cornhole competitions. There will also be all kinds of events to celebrate the history of Fort Verde including a flag raising ceremony, cavalry drills, the Colonel’s Daughter presentation and a vintage baseball game.
