The Day of the Dead celebration “Dia de Los Muertos & The Marigold Project” returns to Tlaquepaque for the ninth year.  This is one of Tlaquepaque’s largest annual events.  The Marigold Mural Project starts on October 30th, 2019 at 11:00am and goes through November 2nd, 2019.  Visitors can paint tributes to loved ones on a 26 foot remembrance wall.  Everyone is invited to come by and add to the wall and view remembrance walls from the previous years.  Artist LoveJoy will lead the project.

On November 2nd, the Day of the Dead festivities begin at 4:00pm.  Tlaquepaque will transform their streets, fountains and patio areas into Day of the Dead décor.  They encourage you to dress in Day of the Dead costumes and to bring photos, memorabilia and candles to leave as an offering to the altars.

There will be live entertainment such as fire dances, acrobats and music.  Food and merchandise will be available for purchase as well.  This is a kid friendly event.
